Welcome to the Greater Houston Area Red Cross Chapter Headquaters
The Greater Houston Area Chapter was established in 1916. It’s grown a lot since then and is now the fourth largest Red Cross Chapter in the country. The Chapter covers 16 counties, which includes Houston, suburban communities, small towns and rural areas. To respond to the needs of such diverse populations, the Greater Houston Area Chapter provides services through its Headquarters in southwest Houston and 14 ocal Red Cross Offices across our 16-county area. As a volunteer led organization, the majority of Red Cross services are provided by trained volunteers.
The American Red Cross offers a wide variety of training courses in first aid, CPR, AED, life guarding, swimming, babysitting, care giving, and other areas for both individuals and organizations.
