Serving Livingston, TX and all of Polk County, this is an office operated entirely by volunteers. It was added to the Greater Houston Area Chapter's jurisdiction in 1999. Its primary focus is Disaster Education and Disaster Relief Services.
Services provided out of this branch office include: Disaster Services:
- Disaster Relief assistance to families impact by home or apartment fire.
- Community Disaster Education
- Disaster Preparedness Presentations
- First Aid/CPR/AED Courses
- Baby Sitting Courses
Volunteering
There are numerous opportunities available for those who want to lend their time and support as a Red Cross
volunteer. The Polk County Branch is currently seeking volunteers for:
- Disaster Services
- Health and Safety Education
- Youth Education, Public Speaking
- Community Disaster Education Instructors
- and many other volunteer positions.
